Terms & Conditions

To become a User of the site, you must read, agree with, and accept all of the terms contained in this agreement which takes effect on the date of your first use of the site. By agreeing to these Terms you appoint us as your agent to conclude a separate and direct agreement between you and each Campaign you support.

The SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM Policies ("the Policies") including our Data and Privacy Policy also form part of these Terms. The Policies change from time to time. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to the way we use and protect your personal information.

By accepting this Agreement (including the Policies), you agree to be bound by it and to the User Agreements and posted Terms and Conditions on other websites operated by us.

"Donor" shall mean any person registered on this Site as a supporter of a Campaign.

"Donation" shall mean a contribution to a Campaign.

"SALONECROWDFUNDER" is the name used for this specific project by Innovation SL, a privately limited liability company incorporated under the laws of Sierra Leone with registered number SL240117INNOVO1166 with registered office @ 9B Spur Loop, Wilberforce, Freetown, Sierra Leone.

"Campaign" shall mean any business, organization, or individual listed on this Site for which a Campaigner wishes to gather support.

"Support" shall mean any funds or other support provided by donors to a Campaign through this Site.

From time to time, we may amend the Terms of this Agreement. Amendments will be published on the Site. All amendments will be effective immediately. Continued use of our services following the publication of any changes to the Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Each time you use our services you confirm your agreement to be bound by, and acknowledge any changes to, the Agreement (including the Policies). You also agree to familiarize yourself with and comply with the Policies relevant to your use of the Site.

You must terminate your membership/use with the Site if you do not agree with such changes to this Agreement (or any of our Policies). Continued use after any changes constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

The Terms of this Agreement and any of the Policies cannot be amended, except as specifically described in or authorized by this Agreement, and only then in writing authorized by you and SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM.

Whilst reasonable endeavors will be made to ensure the maintenance and availability of the Site, SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM does not accept liability arising from any errors, omissions, interruptions of service, or delays that may occur in connection with the Site.

There may be times when our online services are unavailable due to planned maintenance. We will try to inform you in advance of any such suspension through a general notice on the Site but this may not always be practicable.

We may vary the specifications of this Site from time to time without notice.

Campaigners have to be 18 years and above.

Campaigners must have a concept or an idea, a Startup with an MVP, or a Prototype. The idea or Startup must have a social impact.

The Idea/Startup must be based in Sierra Leone.

Campaigners targeting more than seven (7) thousand New Leones must have a Bank Account.

To use our service, you must first register on our Site and create a Username and Password. This information is personal, not transferable, and must not be shared with anyone. You acknowledge that you are responsible for all information and activity on this Site by anyone using your Username/Email and Password.

Any breach of security or unauthorized use of a Username, Email, Password, or security information must be reported to SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM immediately.

We reserve the right not to act on your instructions if it reasonably suspects that the person logged in is not you or if it suspects unauthorized use or fraudulent activity.

To create a Campaign, you must accept our Terms and complete the Application Form.

Based on our expert assessment of your application, you will be accepted to create a Crowdfunding Campaign or rejected.

A Campaign Manager will assist the applicant with co-creating the Campaign. The Campaign Manager authorizes the Campaign to be launched on the platform.

All campaigns will be co-created with our Staff expert team.

We co-create with the applicant and develop the Campaign by requesting further details of their Idea/Startup.

Ask leading questions and in some cases provide advice.

We share the Campaign details with the Campaigner to review and give consent before we proceed to launch.

The Campaigner should respond to feedback from Donors, share Campaign links on social media, and spread the word with family and friends.

All Campaigns end 3 months after the launch. Donations raised will be disbursed to the Campaigner through their Bank Account or Mobile Money within one (1) month at the end of the Campaign period, except where a Donor requests follow-up reports.

If a Donor requests follow-up reports, Campaigners must submit reports to show accountability. Such a request requires a major donation above fifty million Leones (Le 50,000,000). The follow-up stage comprises:

Disbursement: Funds are disbursed in tranches through bank transfer at the end of the Campaign period. Each Campaign has a unique ID traceable by the bank and Site Managers.

Report: For the Campaigner to collect subsequent installments, a narrative report of how the initial funds were spent must be uploaded to the platform.

Accountability: A financial report with proof of payments (receipts, invoices, photo/video evidence) must be uploaded. This document is accessible to the Donor to view and approve for the next installment.

Capacity Building: Innovation SL Ltd will provide paid services to Campaigners supporting concept development, MVP/prototype building, and business growth upon request by the Donor and/or Campaigner.

Individual Campaigners/Groups are entitled to run only one Campaign throughout the year.

All Campaigns will last for 3 months unless terminated by the Campaigner.

When a Campaigner terminates an ongoing Campaign by mistake, the platform Manager will be notified and ensure that the Campaign remains visible to all users.

Where a Campaigner intends to terminate a Campaign before the end of 3 months, the Campaign will be removed and the Campaigner relinquishes the right to receive any funds donated up to that point unless there are extenuating circumstances.

All funds are collected and managed for the Campaigner by Innovation SL Ltd. Ecobank and Innovation SL Ltd verify the Campaigner and obtain their Bank Details or Mobile Money account details.

All Campaigners targeting more than seven (7) million Leones must have a Bank Account; below that amount, an Orange or Africell Money Account is acceptable.

Ecobank and Innovation SL Ltd transfer the "Net Funds" due directly to the Campaigner under any Terms set by the Campaigner/Donor.

"Net Funds" refers to the amount raised during a Campaign period less Ecobank charges and SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM platform fees.

We shall not be held liable for interactions with any organizations and/or individuals found on or through the SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM platform.

All queries regarding funds pledged should be referred to the Campaigner at first instance, and if not resolved, then to Ecobank and Innovation SL Ltd.

We review Campaigns to ensure they do not violate our Terms; however, we do not investigate a Campaigner's ability to complete their Campaign objectives unless specifically asked by the Donor.

We cannot be held liable for the actions of a Campaigner. Campaigners are wholly responsible for fulfilling obligations both implied and stated in any Campaign listing they create.

We do not oversee the performance or punctuality of Campaigns unless specifically asked by the Donor.

We reserve the right to remove a Campaign listing from public listings for any reason.

We are not responsible for any damage or loss incurred as a result of any dealings on the Site. In the event of a dispute, you agree to release SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM employees, partners, and successors in rights from claims, damages, and demands arising out of or related to such disputes.

We cannot guarantee the performance or reliability of the Ecobank online payment services.

We cannot guarantee the full receipt of promised funds to a Campaign due to occasional failures when capturing funds from Debit and Credit cards. Campaigners and Donors agree to comply with Ecobank and Innovation SL Ltd Terms of Service.

SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM is an online donation Crowdfunding Platform and acts as a venue to allow members who comply with its Terms to raise funds to fulfill their dreams of starting, running, and growing their own business.

We are not directly involved in the transaction between Campaigners and Donors. While we do our best to validate information and authenticity, we have no control over the quality, safety, morality, or legality of any aspect of Campaigns.

We cannot guarantee the true identity, age, and nationality of a member. We recommend that you check the member's bio and history on the Site before providing funds.

SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM is a venue and as such is not responsible or liable for any content posted by you, other members, or outside parties on the Site. You agree that use of our services is at your own risk.

SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM will deduct a 5% standard fee from the funds raised through a Campaign on the Site. We reserve the right to vary this rate for specific Campaigns in agreement with the Campaigner.

Ecobank will deduct Credit/Debit card and Banking fees from funds paid to a Campaigner at their published rate.

Fees may vary depending on the location of your Ecobank account and whether pledges are made using a Domestic or International Debit/Credit card.

On occasion, a pledge made by a Donor may be returned to the Donor by Ecobank and Innovation SL Ltd. The Site will show a higher amount raised until adjusted within seven (7) working days of notification.

You must ensure that all information supplied by you is true, accurate, and up-to-date at all times.

You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the Site by any third party.

You are solely responsible for any information submitted by you to this Site. You hereby agree that your use and any content posted by you will not:

Be false, inaccurate or misleading;

Be fraudulent or involve the sale of illegal, counterfeit, or stolen items, break any law, or encourage an illegal act;

Be obscene, abusive, offensive, or contain child pornography;

Contain or transmit any code of a destructive nature that may damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept, or expropriate any system, data, or personal information;

Infringe upon any third-party's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary rights, or violate this Agreement or any applicable laws;

Be defamatory, unlawfully threatening or harassing, or impersonate or intimidate any person, or falsely state your affiliation with any person;

Modify or adapt another website to falsely imply it is associated with us, or create liability for us;

Refer to or contain descriptions of goods, experiences, or services prohibited under this Agreement;

Contain software viruses or any other computer code designed to affect the use of any computer software, hardware, or telecommunications network; or

Put Innovation SL Ltd or the SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM website into disrepute.

You must not under any circumstances seek to undermine the security of the Site or any information submitted to or available through it.

You agree to indemnify us and keep us indemnified against all costs, expenses, claims, losses, liabilities, or proceedings arising from misuse by you of this Site.

Users of this Site in jurisdictions outside Sierra Leone should be aware of, and observe, all applicable legal requirements in their jurisdictions.

You are responsible for ensuring that all persons who access this Site through your internet connection are aware of these Terms and that they comply with them.

We reserve the right not to accept Campaigns that we feel are not suitable for the platform.

These Terms are only intended to be enforceable by you and SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM. A person who is not a party to these Terms has no right to enforce any of these Terms.

If any of these Terms are determined to be illegal, invalid, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, then they shall be severed and deleted from these Terms without affecting the enforceability of the remaining provisions.

SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM reserves the right to cancel a Campaign profile and refund all associated Donor payments at any time for any reason without notice.

We may terminate your access to all or any part of this Site at any time for any reason without notice and may change, suspend, or discontinue all or any part of its online services at any time without notice.

If SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM terminates your access for any reason other than a breach of these Terms or as a result of criminal activity, we will endeavor to return any funds that belong to you within 30 days.

All provisions of these Terms which survive termination shall remain in effect, including but not limited to Terms regarding warranty, disclaimers, indemnities, and limitations of liability.

The site contains links to other websites, charities and organizations provided for your convenience only. We do not approve or endorse any third party or its website or take any responsibility for the content or security of such sites.

We will not be a party to or in any way be responsible for any agreement or transactions concluded between you and any such third-party website owner or operator.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information, data, and files are free of viruses and do not interfere with any system or data before being submitted to the Site.

Whilst SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM makes all reasonable attempts to exclude viruses from the Site, we do not accept responsibility for any loss, disruption, or damage to your data or computer system that may occur whilst using this Site.

All materials on this Site are owned by and subject to the Copyright of SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM, affiliated Campaigns, or third parties.

No part of this Site, including information, images, videos, photos, logos, names, or icons may be copied, republished, posted, or reproduced in any form whatsoever without the prior written permission of the copyright holder. You are permitted to access, copy, and produce materials for your personal non-commercial use only.

You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in content which you submit, post, or display on or through this Site. By submitting content you give SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM a continuous, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to produce, adapt, modify, publicly display, and distribute any content submitted to the Site.

If any dispute arises in connection with these Terms, the parties will attempt to resolve it through mediation following Innovation SL Ltd Policies. Unless otherwise agreed, the mediator will be nominated by SALONECROWDFUNDER.COM, the mediation will be conducted in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and all negotiations shall be strictly confidential.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sierra Leone.

The courts of Sierra Leone shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of these Terms.
